Very cute Dec 17, 2009

After reading the reviews on these, I was confused. One reviewer said it was too small for her kids, another said it was too big. I figured I needed to find out for myself, so I took a chance and purchased one. I'm pleasantly surprised. I have 3 kids, ages 7, 5 and 1. I originally intended to purchase 3, but I think I'll go with 2 for now. This will definitely be too big for the baby, and I don't think she'd be able to use it as intended until she's at least 2 or 3. By that time my oldest MAY have outgrown it. I have skinny kids with thin necks and regular-sized heads. These will be perfectly sized for them. I suppose if you have an enormous 9-year old this might be too small, but I think an adult could even use it if they needed to.
I love the softness of the pillow, and the fact that it's machine washable. People drool when they sleep. Especially kids. I couldn't believe that some of the competing products out there were surface-wash only fabric. What were they thinking? I love all of the different animals, I had a hard time choosing, but finally chose the pink hippo and the green alligator. Adorable!
I only gave the product 4-stars because it is made in China, and I think something like this could have just as easily been made in Europe or North America, and I wouldn't have to worry about what kind of chemicals it might have been sprayed with. I'm definitely going to wash mine before I let the kids use them. Hopefully the kids will like them for our 6-hour Christmas road trip, but if not...I'll be the crazy woman on the New Jersey Turnpike sleeping with a pink hippo around her neck :)

We have two of these; the other one (different company) is not nearly as soft, and my son doesn't use it much. This one is luxurious and sweet and my daughter loves it. We bought both for a long plane trip, and the other one was hardly used. Highly recommend this kind.

I purchased these for my 9, 7, & 4 year old. They are really too small for my 9 & 7 yearold but it is almost too small for my 4 year old. So really more for very young children. They are very cute and besided being too small would be perfect.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter because we have been doing quite a bit of traveling. She was irritated with it when she was tired and wanted to sleep in her car seat, so she would just push it away. But after she slept, I would wrap it around her neck from the front. That worked with her and her head didn't drop front or sides. She isn't too crazy about the horse either, but that may be because she has her other favorite ones with her.
Overall, I think it is a good soft neck pillow for kids. The characters make it a fun & interesting plush toy.

I bought these for my two children (ages 4 and 8) for long car trips. I was pleased that they weren't so firm so that they pushed their necks forward or so tight that they were uncomfortable. They fit both children well - even my 8 year-old. They love that they are so soft and comfortable. I was also unsure whether the head on the cat would stick up too much and be annoying, but the whole thing is squishy (while still serving it's purpose) and neither child has complained. I had previously bought a couple of neck supports thinking that it was a great idea for the car only to be disappointed that my children thought they were uncomfortable and refused to use them. I have felt other neck supports in stores that cost more than these and they just felt so firm and thick that I knew they would be uncomfortable, like the other ones we had. Happily, I took a chance and these are different. I would recommend these.
