Smaller than I expected Mar 12, 2012
By jk202 I use my standard stainless scraper almost every day. But for big chunky foods or just large quantities of slippery, circular ingredients, I've dropped many things as I try to move them from cutting board to bubbling pot.
This has three positives: - You can flick it open while you're holding it. One-handed operation is great in the kitchen. - Stainless blade (marked as a ruler) is surprisingly heavy and thick. Very sturdy and will really scrape a cutting board clean. - Easy clean in the DW
Cons: - A little smaller than I thought it would be. It doesn't actually have a large capacity, maybe 1/2 to 1 cup or so, depending on what you're carrying.

As the title says, I'm a fan of the Chef'n line already and this scraper didn't disappoint. I've used it for scrapping up vegetables and fruits so far and the measuring cup portion has helped in not having to transfer the food to another measuring device. I don't know how well it works with pastries etc. because I have not used it for that yet. But for veggies and fruit it works well. I like that it collapses flat for storage and washes up beautifully in the dishwasher.
