Pretend Play Aug 09, 2010 New twist to paper dolls.
Love it is a guy with lots of choices of clothing.
Also found his clothes work on our girl magnetic dolls so no gender restrictions on career choices. LOVE THAT!!!
Good idea but son lost interest quickly Jul 19, 2010 I thought this toy would be great. My son loved it for a day then he really didn't use it. I am hoping when he gets a little bigger he will like it some more.
My boys love their buddy, Joey! Jul 15, 2010 Both my almost 5 yro & 3 1/2 yro boys LOVE this toy. They could dress up their "Joey" while their girl cousins were playing dress up with their girl toys. If the wood container it came in had a top, if would be even better for traveling. We just transfered everything into a gallon zip lock instead. The original container has made a perfect organizer in a playroom drawer. I'm a HUGE fan of Melissa & Doug toys.
Fun! Jun 16, 2010 I am so glad they make something like this for boys! My boys, ages almost 2 & 4, love it! The pieces are heavy duty and good quality. Joey can stand up to show off his costumes and they love that. This toy has lead to conversations about each character: what that character is, what he does, etc. They think it's fun to mix up his clothes and make him look silly but they can also be pretty particular about each piece and having it aligned and matched up just right. Good for fine motor skills and coordination. I recommend this cute product, hands down. As with most Melissa & Doug items, this tray lacks and desperately needs a top!!
Joey magnetic doll Apr 27, 2010
My son-in-law refuses to allow my four year old grandson to play with dolls. After watching him longingly watch his siters play with magnetic dolls, I bought Joey for him. Dad appproved when he saw the "masculine" clothes and saw how much the little guy enjoys playing with them. Joey goes many places, including church services, with my grandson. Thank you, Melissa and Doug. Little guys like dolls of their own, too.
