The fabric isn't sufficiently protective against the heat of a cookie sheet, and the extra fabric of the "pinchers" makes it difficult to pick anything up anyway (something I should have noticed before ordering). I was nervous that I would drop the cookie sheet and took them off immediately. Threw them away.

Ok I received mine today and already got to try it on...
First of all, it's pretty hard to carry anything with the lobster claw! They're so closed that I can't grab anything, not even a large wooden spoon.
The mitt I received is not even like the picture, the colors aren't the same, but most importantly the size of the claws are way different: they're a lot smaller! How can I know if I want to buy the item if the only picture is not representative?
This was for a gift, and I thought that the high price would mean that it was kind of a high quality product, but it's not...
Oh and by the way, since when do we started to sell oven mitts by the unit? I mean, I have two hands so...?
Conclusion: I'm pretty disappointed.

I purchased the product based on the realistic appearence but it isn't the product that was shipped. The description and model number are the same but the product is shaped and colored differently than shown in the photo. The product you see is not the product you get.
